We are excited to offer a 9-week puppy/Junior training at NDTC to new/existing members. The training is based on the KG Puppy Foundation (https://www.thekennelclub.org.uk/media/1928/gcdspuppy.pdf)
The 19:30 puppies course is for puppies between 12 weeks (or 10 days after their last vaccination injection) and 18 weeks (4 months).
The 20:30 Juniors course is for puppies between 18 weeks (4 months) and 35 weeks (8 months)
Each session will have a group of 6 handlers (and dogs) with a minimum of 1 instructor. Each session will run for 30 minutes.
You will need to be a member to book this class. The first week of the 9-week course is the introduction talk, which is best without the puppy, and then the 8-week training at £32, which breaks down to £4 per session. (NDTC is a non-profit organisation staffed by volunteers)
The workshops shall be run at the following times:
Puppy classes are on Tuesday evenings. Gates open at 19:15, training starts at 19:30 for 30 minutes
Junior classes are on Tuesday evenings. Gates open at 20:15, training starts at 20:30 for 30 minutes
Please arrive 10 to 15 minutes before your session; we will have to check you in.
The 19:30 Puppies course is for puppies between 12 weeks (or ten days after their last vaccinations injection) and 18 weeks (4 months).
The 20:30 Juniors course is for puppies between 18 weeks (4 months) and 35 weeks (8 months)
A few weeks, either way, is not a problem, as we place you into four groups of six age/temperament-related groups.
It is highly recomanded to vaccinate all puppies/dogs to reduce the risk of infection.
Yes everyone on the NDTC grounds must be a member for insurance reason.

Yes, you can join at any time as long as there availability.
There is only one induction talk at 19:30/7:30 pm on week one (1) of the 9-week course and this is for both Puppies at 19:30/7:30 pm and Juniors at 20:30/8:30 pm
If you can leave your puppy at home, it is recommended. The introduction talk is about 30 minutes and is conducted at the clubhouse, this covers how the club works, the club's housekeeping, and an open conversation about puppies in general or any particular issues you may be having. It is a lot for some puppies to sit still and quiet for 30 mins, and you miss something if you have to entertain your puppy.

At the bottom of the hill, bear right and turn immediately into the first driveway on your right. Approaching from the North, follow the A444 towards Nuneaton Town Centre, but on entering the one-way system with BP garage on the corner, keep right and turn immediately from the corner into the driveway seen opposite. If you miss the turning from either direction, keep to the right-hand lane and follow the one-way system around to try again.

If a course or class has the Waitlist option, not all will have this.
If a course/class is full, or has already started, and you select to go on the waitlist, your name is added to a list for that course/class, if a person drops out or more spaces are made available, the next person on the Waitlist is notified by email, offering them the course/class.
We will only contact you if a course/class becomes available.
Once you have registered on the Waitlist there is no need to do this again.
Someone dropping out is not very common.
Please also consider booking the next course/class with availability.
For puppies and mainstream
No, there is no requirement or need to let us know.
If a class needs to be cancelled due to bad weather, too hot, too cold, floods or other, NDTC reserve the right to cancel one session to ensure our dogs well being, every effort will be made to make up for the lost time during the remaining sessions, which could mean a class could be 45 mins instead of 30 minutes on some sessions.
If a second session needs to be cancelled during the same course, please email the section e.g. mainstream@ndtc.org.uk or puppies@ndtc.org.uk etc, stating the date and the name of your course, and requesting you £3.00 cash back, then bring that email with you the next time you are at the club and we will refund you in cash.
It is highly recommended not to bring your dog to training when sick or in season.
